THE GALLERY - APRIL 2004

It was one of my busiest Aprils ever with 20 sessions out on various rivers and lakes in the Devon & Somerset area.  Here are some of the notable  catches including our first fish from the newly acquired River Mole which has massive potential for the future.

Kay & Gordon enjoy their perfect adventure.

5 / 6th April 2004

This is what it is all about.  2 people having a great holiday away from it all, enjoying some fresh air and learning something really worthwhile.

Gordon and Kay landed a good few fish during their 2 day session early in April.  Despite some cold weather the couple really took to the sport and have already ordered their gear!

"Thanks again for an absolutely perfect adventure"

20,21 & 22 April 2004

Over the last 5 years Nick Hart Fly Fishing has managed some of the finest fishing in the Westcountry including the River Torridge, Bray and Exe.  I am now pleased to be able to offer guided sessions on a fantastic stretch of the River Mole, pictured Left.

Hugh Caslake was one of my first guests to fish the Mole during his 3 day course.  Just look at this for a Wild Brown Trout, not bad since it was his first ever!

Wild Brown Trout fishing can provide exciting sport, especially during a big hatch. Hugh Caslake of London was lucky to hit it just right and his reward was this plump River Mole fish, his first ever from a river!

Dave Britten with a cracking Rainbow Trout caught during a guided fly fishing trip to Clatworthy Reservoir in Somerset 28th April 2004

Dave Britten from London is a regular guest of Nick Hart Fly Fishing and has enjoyed successful trips to several venues including lake and river.  Here he is pictured with a cracking over wintered Rainbow Trout from Clatworthy Reservoir caught during a guided boat trip.  The fish put up a tremendous scrap and weighed in at 4lb.

Dave started his fly fishing career after a course with Nick Hart Fly Fishing in 2003.  He so enjoys his fishing that he is now visiting for an extended working holiday during the summer and has already booked up a couple of trips for one of our favourite species, the Bass

What our guests say ...

The day was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable that I can remember in a long time - a superb antidote to the stresses of the office and probably the best Christmas present I have ever had.

Ewan Davy, Devon, June 2003

We are back home now. With three full days of work done. I am wishing that I was  fishing once again. Alex and I had such a great time with you and Pete. We would like to have had it last longer. Next time I will catch the Salmon.

P Taylor, U.S.A., March 2004

Thanks for everything.  Catching wild fish from lovely streams was every bit
as good as I'd dreamt it would be.
