For years it has
been quite normal in many countries for anglers to hire a fishing guide
for their trip, America and New Zealand being two fine examples. In the
U.K. this concept has only just started to catch on in the last decade.
A Guide can
provide up to the minute information on tactics, flies and
techniques which are working on a given venue. Often they have
access to a wide range of fishing, for example I may find myself
on a spate river (fast flowing, effected by rain) during the morning session catching Trout on
dry flies before travelling to a coastal mark with my guest/s to
guide for Bass in the surf. Below are a few of the Fishing
Guide Services available through Nick Hart Fly Fishing.

| STOCKED
TROUT FISHING ON RESERVOIRS & WILD TROUT FISHING ON RIVERS |
 |
Choose from a huge range
of Venues
,
including a variety of stunning Exmoor Wild Trout
Streams. Target alternative species such as Tiger or Blue
Trout on one of our Small Still Waters or escape to a beautiful
Reservoir. Enjoy a day on a boat or perhaps cast for a large grown
on Lake Brown Trout.
Chalkstream
fly fishing can be arranged on famous
rivers such as the Test or Wylye.

| SALMON
AND SEA TROUT FISHING |
 |
There can be few more exhilarating moments than hooking a
Salmon, especially on nothing more than a 9 1/2 ft 8 weight rod.
It is an experience not to be missed! Guided excursions include
all equipment and of course some deadly fly patterns.
For the really adventurous, night
time Sea Trout Fishing!
Venues include the most famous
West
Country Rivers
such as
the Taw, Torridge, Mole and Exe . Many private beats.

| ALTERNATIVE
FLY FISHING FOR PIKE AND CARP |
 |
Tried Fly Fishing for Trout , Salmon and
Grayling? Had enough of Bass? What if you want more?
Well there are Pike, probably the very best chance of a wild
double figure fish in the U.K.
We have the rods, the flies,
the venues and the knowledge to put you in touch with these
awesome predators. Plus how about a Carp on fly or maybe a
trip abroad for something
exotic?

WHAT SHOULD YOU
EXPECT FROM A FLY FISHING GUIDE?
|
|
A
decent guide will offer advice regarding casting ( often holding a
casting qualification such as AAPGAI / APGAI / STANIC / LEVEL 2), demonstrate
techniques and most important of all .... use the many years of
experience gained through fishing a variety of waters to lead
anglers straight to the best locations. The main benefit of this
service to an angler is that it saves time, often money and
provides the very real chance of success. No need to worry about
venues, the right flies, which tactics work, when and where. Just
turn up and fish !

"
Many thanks for a REALLY superb day. I've come away with so many
useful tips and ways to make my fly fishing trips more enjoyable. You
possess a rare talent, the ability to transfer skills and knowledge to
other people in a way that is enjoyable and meaningful to the
pupil. For me the whole day was encapsulated in that final cast to
that fin perfect Brownie."
Chris
Bell MBE, Somerset.
"The
whole week was a wonderful experience."
Graham
Hewitt, Solihull.
