Turn on the TV these days and I guess you are about as fed up as I am with the doom and gloom being touted by the media. So lets do something about it and go fly fishing! If you have never tried before then check out our aptly named "Try Fly Fishing Course". Aimed at novice anglers this is a great chance for people who have never cast a fly rod and for those who have tried already but with limited success.
Experienced already but have a niggling casting fault or can't decide which fly to tie on? The two day "Improve your Fly Fishing Course" is perfect. Learn in a practical format at the waters edge with tuition aimed at helping you to improve: your cast, ability to find fish holding features and knowledge to match the hatch. Plus much more! |

There is no doubt that fly fishing on rivers and streams has seen a surge in popularity. Many believe that Trout fishing on running water is very expensive which maybe the case on some Salmon rivers and the Southern Chalkstreams However there is also a wealth of stream and river fishing for Wild Trout, Grayling and even migratory species such as Salmon available for less than a round of drinks! Interested but not sure how to get started?During the wonderful month of May I have two "River Fly Fishing Factory" courses that are sure to kick start your appetite for Wild Trout Fishing. |

Fly Fishing on Reservoirs and Lakes is one of the most challenging elements of the sport. Vast areas of water, endless fly variations and a far lower stocking density than your average stillwater. Where do you begin? My "Reservoir Fly Fishing Course" in April will provide two action packed days at the edge of top class Exmoor venues, Clatworthy Reservoir and Wimbleball Lake. We will check out fish holding features, tried and tested Trout catching methods, the very latest in modern fly patterns and of course both days will be enjoyed practically at the waters edge while you fish. Please note that the guide will be there to help you, not to fish himself! |

Times change and so has fly fishing. Of course we must never forget the traditional roots of the game but the days of the upstream dry fly only and rich mans sport are numbered ... and rightly so. Fly Fishing has diversified far beyond that and away from the original species it was intended for. My two day residential "Carp & Pike Fly Fishing Course" will be an explosive occasion. No lightweight gear or gossamer leaders in sight, this is an excuse to cast long and get in the thick of it with some big fish. Perfect for a summers day when the Trout refuse to bite! Don't worry if you only have Trout kit, all kit will be supplied. |

AUTUMN / WINTER COURSE
DEALS - 25% OFF STANDARD COURSE FEES! |

After the
dismal
summer we have all been experiencing there is a good chance
that this autumn the weather could come good. Well
lets hope so anyway!
NOVICE
COURSES: If you are a budding fly fisher in the making
or would like to improve your skills then the winter season
is an ideal time to get going. If you are a beginner
we can teach you how to cast, pick out a fly and catch a
fish so that by the new season you will be ready for action.
EXPERIENCED ANGLERS: Those of you who are more
experienced will know how important a good cast is, but
let's face it ... when we go fishing its to catch fish not
practice our casting! Do you have a nagging tailing
loop or perhaps a double haul that just doesn't quite make
the grade?
SPECIAL
OFFER: We can help you to cast better and fish better,
plus from October 2008
to February 2009 you
could save 25% off
standard course fees. Bookings now being taken. |
