The spectacular River Lyn The River Lyn has be one of the most awesome rivers in the U.K., if not the world.  The Trout maybe small but provide the ultimate challenge on light gear and in scenery that can only be described as breathtaking.  Sea Trout and Salmon also run the river with permits widely available through local pubs, B&B or tourist offices.
A guided Sea Trout session results in a fine River Mole specimen In 2004 Nick Hart Fly Fishing gained exclusive fishing rights to the Lenton beat of the River Mole near South Molton.  Since then we have started a management campaign to further improve this outstanding stretch of River.  Wild Brown Trout while Sea Trout.

Small Still Water - Burton Springs - an excellent example of the venues stock. Burton Springs Fishery Kilve, Somerset.  A relatively new still water and yet very in keeping with the surrounding countryside. Extremely clear water making stalking possible.  One of the inviting factors about Burton Springs is the variety of stock including Rainbow, Brown, Tiger and Blue Trout.  There is also a Carp fishery on site which provides excellent sport on a light carbon fibre fly rod!
Small Stillwater - Bratton Bratton Water, Barnstaple, North Devon.  Gaining popularity fast, this lake provides challenging fishing in stunning surroundings.  Good stocks of hard fighting Rainbow Trout and some Browns.  Call Mike Williams on 01271 850642 for details.  Look out for Nicks feature on Bratton and straight line nymph fishing, coming soon in Troutfisherman magazine.
RESERVOIRS AND LAKES IN DEVON & SOMERSET
Reservoir Fly Fishing, Wimbleball, our most popular large venue. Wimbleball Lake  Brompton Regis, Somerset.  The jewel in the crown of Exmoors stillwater Trout Fishing, this really is a fantastic venue. Situated in tranquil farmland the lake is quite long and narrow, providing several ' arms ' to fish and shelter in poor weather.  A varied range of tactics and technique work including dry fly and sunk line metods.  For guided boat trips have a look here.
Wessex Water, Clatworthy Clatworthy Reservoir  Wiveliscombe, Somerset.  A stunning venue, smaller than Wimbleball so not quite so daunting. Great stocks of fish which are bred on site, with a good wild population also.  Try June for good dry fly fishing but always pack a few densities of sinking line as this venue responds well to subsurface tactics.  For guided trips have a look here.
Reservoir, Wistlandpound Wistlandpound, South Molton, Devon.  40 acres of bliss set within a stunning forest.  This fishery offers Trout in the 1 1/2 to 2lb bracket but expect the odd surprise.  Natural Brown Trout present that will take dark flies fished quickly.  Permits are available from various local outlets, not at the fishery.  Check out the Wimbleball link above to be taken to the South West Lakes Trust site and further info.  Guided Fishing
Brown Trout Fishing on a Reservoir, Roadford in Devon Roadford Reservoir, Launceston, Devon/Cornwall border.  One of the West's Brown Trout only fisheries.  Stunning scenery and beautiful fish in the peak of condition.  A tough venue at 700 acres but well worth the challenge.  If you find it all a bit daunting and need to know where to start, we can help!
