IRELAND 2003

Guests enjoying an Anglling trip to Ireland hosted by Nick Hart.

During 2003 I have been working with John Quinlan who runs a fine fishing lodge ( the thatched cottage ) located in the Ring of Kerry, SW Ireland.  Several of my clients have now visited and have returned with good reports.  The weather conditions have been tricky meaning a lack of Salmon, but the Loch Trout Fishing, Bass or prospect of a large Pollack more than made up for this.  John has also perfected a method for regularly taking Mullet on the fly.  I hosted a trip during September for a group of my regular anglers.  Check out scenes from the 2003 season below..

Fly Fishing for Mullet

Clive Green on the left with his first ever fly caught Mullet.

On the right John Yerbury and a Nice fly caught Pollack.

Catches of over 20 Pollack have been taken in 2003 with fish to 9lbs !

Fly Fishing for Pollack

Pollack can bend rods like no other! Irish Trout, wild of course! Landing a good quality Bass
Hard Fighting Pollack, Silver Bass and Wild Trout

Adventure anglers will love this venue.  Clamber down rocks into beautiful locations for Pollack, cast a fly in the surf for Bass or head to one of the Lochs for Trout.  Then there is Sea Trout or Salmon on the River Inny not to mention one of Europe's finest Lochs, Currane.  And if you get through all that then enjoy the frustration and excitement of the Irish Bonefish otherwise known as, Mullet.

Who needs the fishing with a sunset like this ?!

Good quality Irish Pollack

Many thanks for a great weekend which was most enjoyable and also very instructive. I know I learnt a great deal.

Mike Slipper, Swindon, May 2003

The day was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable that I can remember in a long time - a superb antidote to the stresses of the office and probably the best Christmas present I have ever had.

Ewan Davy, Devon, June 2003

Your enthusiasm for fishing is so infectious and the way in which you instruct
so encouraging, it breaks down a lot of the 'mystique' that sometimes appears to surround fly fishing.

A Lambert, London 2003

Thanks for everything that you did last week. I had a
fantastic time. You have taught me so much and kindled a passion - I
believe!

Tim Lee, Surrey, August 2003
