many thanks for checking out our web site. I have been involved in
the business of fly fishing tuition for over 10 years and in that time
my company has become one of the most popular fly fishing schools in the
UK. This page provides details regarding my qualifications and
career to date.

Now I'm in my mid 30's I have
been messing around with fishing rods for as long as I can remember. By age 9 I was a fanatical angler and this
passion just grew stronger the older I became. By
my late teens I decided to do something about it and pursue a
career as a fly fishing instructor. I was privileged to be
coached by top instructor Simon Gawesworth, which is similar to
being coached by a top flight football manager or tennis coach!
I have been examined by AAPGAI/ STANIC/LEVEL 2 and
found to be qualified to teach fly fishing on a professional
basis. Details of these qualifications can be found below.
I have guided abroad
including venues such as Argentina and Spain and have visited
Africa, Bahamas, Florida, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Montana
and Venezuela with a fly rod in hand.

FLY FISHING
QUALIFICATIONS EXPLAINED:
Nick Hart holds nationally recognised casting
and fishing qualifications. Here is a quick
overview. The Salmon & Trout Association National
Instructors Certificate (STANIC) has been updated to LEVEL 2 by Sport
England who now license coaches. This is a relatively simple
exam to pass and ensures that each
instructor has been on a child protection course, holds a first
aid certificate, has agreed to be checked by the criminal records
bureau and has appropriate insurance. Nick also holds the
advanced level qualification known as AAPGAI.
This level is aimed at instructors who teach on a
regular basis and in particular requires the candidate
to have expert knowledge in many aspects of fly fishing.
Most important of all Nick is a full time fly fishing
instructor, similar to a golf pro he teaches people how to
wield a fly rod instead of a golf club, averaging 150
days per season.

A
PASSION FOR FLY FISHING - A SPORT FOR ALL:
I
believe that my passion for the sport is the most important qualification
I possess. Fly Fishing is my full time work and yet on my day
off, I go fishing! I do my very best to breath this passion and
enthusiasm into every course I organise. Fly Fishing is a sport for all and
is no where near so complicated as many believe. I have been
fortunate enough to teach many hundreds of guests over the years so
I am able to spot faults at a glance. Within a very short time
I aim to have each of my clients casting, tying knots and catching
fish. Children are welcomed by the way, and often make superb casters.

tuition is based on passion and 100% commitment to my
guests!

recently Nick has been involved in productions for

possible. Pick from one of our exclusively designed
gift vouchers. Each voucher is personalised and

Above are just a handful of the designs available. We

2) Once a
course has been agreed upon payment can be made by any major
debit or credit card (excluding American Express). We
can process orders and payments over the phone or please

3) We
dispatch your voucher pack to you including a personalised
gift card, valid for a full 2 year period.
The voucher pack includes all relevant details to enable the

* Options: We have a
whole variety of fly fishing options such as a novice course
aimed at someone who has never tried fly fishing but would
like to give it a go. One day is great for a taste of
fly fishing and two days provides a great short break away
from it all. For the more experienced angler Nick also
provides guided trips for species including Wild Trout,
Grayling, Salmon or Sea Trout. Advanced casting
courses are also available and we even take people fly
