Well, what a
great start to the season it has been! Basking in summer
like temperatures our guests have been enjoying some
tremendous fishing. Here are some of the most memorable
moments, images and comments
from the month of March.

Gautham,
Kieran and Alex : What
an excellent group to kick the season off with.
Although completely novice anglers these guys were
intent on having "fun" ( and after all that
is what it is all about! ), although they managed to
pick up sufficient skills to catch a few fish.
In fact they became so keen that as you can see from
the photo it was dark by the time we finished! |

Day 2 was spent fishing the little
river Exe which is one of many venues available through
Nick Hart Fly Fishing. Our popular 2 day course
can incorporate both stillwater and river fishing with

March
18th and novice angler Martin Williams from
Tiverton, Devon, managed to connect with this fabulous
Wild Brown Trout measuring 12 inches on the river
Bray. Just look at those awesome colours!
The Trout was caught on a debarbed Greenwells Glory
during a hatch of Dark Olives and was safely returned. "

Next in
on the action was Dave Coleman who once again enjoyed a
combined 2 day stillwater / river course.

And
Finally ... we have had the first Salmon of the year
taken on our beat of the River
Torridge on 21st March
2003. Just a kelt, weighing in at 6lbs, but
a very well mended fish which certainly gave a
pull. It was taken on a 1 inch holographic stoats
tail tube and was safely returned within minutes of
capture. |
