Fly Fishing
is an all year round sport as these anglers prove. The
winter months are a fine time to learn how to cast from
scratch or improve existing skills. Here are a few
highlights from the month of October. Guided Grayling
trips, Fly Fishing for Pike and Casting tuition are available
throughout November and December for those keen to continue

2 Day Course
- Alex Sinclair
Alex returned
from security duties abroad for his 6 week leave session and
decided to take up Fly Fishing. He gave us a call and
soon he was casting, tying on his own flies and catching
fish. Day 1 was spent at the fantastic Exe
Valley Fishery getting to grips with rods, reels and
lines before spending a full day session of fishing at Burton
Springs during which Alex managed
6 fish. One of the highlights of the trip was
this unusual "Blue" Trout, which was safely returned
after Alex had posed for the obligatory photograph. Alex
returns in December for another 2 day session.

SUCCESS
Chris Bell received a Gift
Voucher for tuition from his wife. Already accomplished
as a fly angler, Chris had his first experience of fly fishing
in the company of eminent angler, Charles Jardine. We
started out our day by going through casting and then moving
on to tactics. The result was an accurate cast under a
tree and this lovely 3 1/2 lb Brown Trout.

a short note to say thanks for the help and expert tuition you have
provided me. I returned to Exe Valley fishery on 18th August
2004 and with in an hour and half had caught my limit of five fish
(total weight 18lb with a new personal best fish of 5lb 8oz. I
would not have suceeded without your help.

reason for e-mailing
is to try and book another 2 day fishing tuition trip next year, but
also to offer a belated thanks for a great 2 days that Tony and I had
with you back in July. The trip easily exceeded expectations, and we
