September is traditionally
an excellent month for Fly Fishing. The
temperatures begin to drop slightly and the fish will often
feed hard in readiness for the winter. This year we were
fortunate enough to have good levels of water and this
encouraged a decent run of Salmon. Below are some of our
September guests with their catch. If you would like to
get in on the action in 2005 please call 01398 331660
for details or e mail nick@hartflyfishing.demon.co.uk

Mike & Pierre on
their first ever Fly Fishing outing. Mike owns the
successful Stockleigh Lodge guest house in Exford that our clients often
use as accommodation during their stay. His wife Myra
was keen to give him a break from all the hard work involved in
running a B&B and purchased him a Gift Voucher
for his birthday. During a relaxing day with his good
friend Pierre they both managed to get a good grasp of the
casting and went on to have half a dozen fish up to
5lbs. Dressed up in waders I think you will agree that
they both certainly look the part!

again looking out for an original Chrsitmas gift Nicole
decided to purchase her partner Mike on of our

relaxing weekend learning to fly fish. Getting away from
the stresses of London and busy careers they both enjoyed a
weekend together and the smiles say it all!

Salmon
This Salmon caught by Eric
Wooley (left) on the River Exe, was his first ever and
although in the river for some time it put up a strong fight
on a single handed rod. After a quick photo the fish was
carefully released. The
capture was made even sweeter for Eric and Eddie as their good
mate George Ford booked their guided fly fishing trip and
could not attend as he was called for jury service. Next
Time George!
